GTA 6: Get Ready for the Big Reveal This Week!
Grand Theft Auto VI or GTA 6 is arguably the most anticipated video game ever. Now, after more than a decade of waiting, it looks like Rockstar, the developer of this hugely successful franchise, could announce the game this week.
According to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, sources close to the matter, who are not authorized to speak publicly, have indicated that Rockstar plans to release a trailer for the game next month in December, but an announcement is expected this week. This may coincide with the 25th anniversary of Rockstar Games.
For those unfamiliar, Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto is a hugely successful franchise. The last iteration of the series – GTA V – has sold more than 185 million copies across platforms such as PlayStation, Xbox and PC since its release in September 2013. After more than a decade since the release of the previous game, the anticipation and hype surrounding GTA 6 continues to grow.
Last year, hackers leaked hours of footage of what was confirmed to be GTA 6. These clips showcased intricate animations, possible storylines, and confirmed several key elements of the game, including the main characters, tone, and setting of the game.
The game is supposed to feature two protagonists – one male and one female – and will be set in the current version of Vice City, Rockstar’s fictional version of Miami, Florida.
It’s also important to note that nothing is official from Rockstar right now. However, since the game has been in development for a while and has been the subject of numerous leaks, it wouldn’t be surprising if the company finally announces GTA 6 soon.
